POKER

Poker is one of the most popular and developed games to be found in online casinos because it has a magic combination of skill and luck. It can be played for low or high stakes and attracts players of all ages and backgrounds. An easy way to learn how to play poker is to use 5-Card Draw as a model.

Poker allows you to use all 52 in the deck. All ‘face' cards (King, Queen, Jack) have high value and the Ace is the top-scoring card. For the 5-Card Draw poker game, the dealer hands five cards to the players, one at a time.

Best Poker hands

Royal Flush – A sequence of five cards in the same suit from Aces downwards is the rarest hand and the most powerful.

Straight Flush – The second most powerful hand is any other sequence in the same suit outside the Royal Flush. It is called the Straight Flush or 'Straight'.

Four of a Kind – All the same cards, the top being four Aces

Full House – This is a set of three cards and then two cards

Flush – Any cards from the same suit, which don’t need a sequence.

Straight – A sequence of cards, which can be from different suits.

Three of a Kind – Three of the same cards

Two Pair – Two sets of the same cards, like two 10s and two kings

One Pair – Two of the same cards

High Card – Ace, when nobody has anything better

Basic Rules

  1. All players place their bets into a central 'pot', after which they are dealt their poker hand.

  3. Bidding proceeds as follows:
  4. Open: One player will start bidding by saying 'Open
Check : A player can say ‘Check’ if he or she wants to avoid making a bid.

Raise : A player with a strong hand will ‘Raise’ the bet in the hope of having other players ‘Fold’.
    Fold
: A player with a weak hand will ‘Fold’ , leave the game and lose the initial bet.

  6. The winner is the one who gets the hand closest to a Royal Flush.
