In Baccarat, the player who scores closest to 9 is the winner. This is a simple and popular online
casino game, where the emphasis is to decide what kind of bet to place. Bet on your own hand (Player
or Punto) or alternatively bet on the dealer's hand (Banker or Banco). For this reason, Baccarat
is also called Punto Banco. Anyone in the role of Banker must pay 5% of winnings to the casino
as a commission.
Objective
- Take 2 or 3 cards to get as close to 9 as possible.
- Face cards like J, Q, and K as well as 10 have no numerical value. A is counted
as a 1 and all other cards carry their normal value.
- If you score over 10, this becomes a 1. So 7 and 8 becomes 15 and is scored
as a 5.
- You cannot 'Bust'.
Baccarat Rules
- Both the player and the Banker draw 2 cards.
- If either side get a 8 or 9, then no more cards can be dealt – it is a ‘Stand’.
- Any player getting 6 or 7 must Stand.
- After a player stands, the Banker can take another card ('Hit') as long as total number is
5 or less.
- If a player has 5 or less, he can get a third card from the banker.
- The banker can also get a 3rd card.
